There are many road signs in the world that not only surprise, but can confuse even experienced drivers. About the strangest and most unpredictable road signs that prove that the rules on the roads can be not only strict, but also very creative.
In addition to real signs, in some countries there are also humorous ones. In Norway, for example, you can find signs warning about meeting a troll.
Beware of sleds
We are all used to the signs for bicycles and motorcycles. However, in some snowier cities, somewhere in Greenland, you can easily come across a sign warning about sleds that may unexpectedly cross the road.
Dancing pedestrians
In the Swedish city of Naparanda, some road signs have been turned into art objects. In the historical part of the city, pedestrian crossings are decorated with dancing rock and roll, jumping rock guitarists and dancing gentlemen. This attracts tourists and enlivens the city streets. The authors were probably inspired by the sketch "Ministry of Silly Walks" by the British comedy group "Monty Python".
Wild ducks
According to the Vienna Convention, any animal that can suddenly appear on the road can be depicted on road signs. In Australia and Papua New Guinea you can see signs depicting kangaroos and koalas, in Africa - rhinos, and in Gibraltar - monkeys. Our attention was drawn to signs warning about wild ducks.

In the Netherlands there is a sign warning drivers about the possible appearance of waiters on the road, delivering orders to customers of cafes and restaurants.
Hitchhiking Ban
Hitchhiking, which originated in the early 20th century, became a mass phenomenon in the 1950s in the USA and the USSR. The USSR even created the "Hitchhikers' Union". However, the "Hitchhiking Ban" sign remains an exclusively American prerogative.
Drunk Pedestrian
Signs warning drivers about drunk pedestrians have been installed in the Romanian city of Pecica. The mayor of the city made this decision after an increase in the number of accidents involving drunk pedestrians, who often ended up on the roadway.

A sign has been installed in Swindon, UK, informing drivers of a "magic" roundabout consisting of five separate intersections that also have a roundabout.
