The Japanese have taken fictional girls to a new level (6 photos)

10 December 2024

Do you know that genre of photography where a person pretends that he is not alone? As if holding someone's hand, eating from someone's hand. And now the Japanese have taken this art to a cosmic level. The main master of "fake relationships" is 39-year-old Keisuke Jinushi.

It is obvious that the man painted his nails - carelessly!

And when they figured out that he did not have a girlfriend, they did not even laugh at him, but praised him for how talented he was. And he made "imaginary girl" his main hobby.

Keisuke bought a seofy stick, a wig, and even painted his fingernails to create a million realistic photos of dates with an imaginary girl.

A new hero for Japanese men

You also need to be flexible for this genre of photography

As you know, Japanese society has a very high percentage of singles, moreover, the highest percentage of virgins after the age of 23.

Like Keisuke himself, although he is quite a successful guy. He graduated from Musashino University of Arts, where he received a degree in film and fine arts. But he remained a bachelor throughout his adult life.

You walk by, and there's a man with a wig hugging

And one day he went on a train ride and thought: why can't I just pretend I have a girlfriend. Just to feel it once? And suddenly he became an idol for all the guys who also wanted to have a relationship (or what others imagined about anime relationships - holding hands and feeding each other).

This photo is just the quintessence of loneliness

He started experimenting with creative angles and props. The main thing is to think through the props - buy foundation so that "her" hand is different in tone from yours for credibility. Lipstick to leave kiss marks on your own cheek. He already had a motorcycle helmet, he hangs a wig on it and takes staged photos with a kiss.

Notice the different skin tones, THAT'S A MASTER

Jinushi's date photos have become a symbol of many Japanese men's struggle with loneliness.

Keisuke collected all his tricks into one book, "Fictional Girl," and published it for all single men. There is a guide on how to take photos of a meeting, dates, engagement, and even family life with a fictional girl.

So what... I don't know that the Japanese are more talented at pretending that they have it good, probably.

His book even has a section about a wedding, and the MOST IMPORTANT thing is that he is not shy about doing this in the park...

I really liked this trend and the book, because they are inventive, but also - it is an incredibly vivid cross-section of Japanese society and a product of modern Japanese culture, which takes such wild, but beautiful forms.
