Heavy rains changed the face of the Sahara Desert (3 photos + 1 video)
The Sahara Desert has been partially flooded for the first time in decades. Unfortunately, there are casualties. Damage to local farmers has also been recorded.
The last time something like this happened was about 30-50 years ago. It is known that 20 people died in Morocco and Algeria due to bad weather. In addition, the water that gushed through the sands and oases caused enormous damage to farmers' crops and buildings.
The areas most affected by the natural disaster were in the southeast of Morocco. The local government allocated funds for emergency aid to local residents.
In the city of Tata, which was hit hardest by the disaster, more rain fell in two days than the average annual rainfall!
