Flow: an unusual cartoon that amazed Cannes Film Festival (3 photos + video)
"Flow" is the debut animated film by young director Gints Zilbalodis. It was shown in the "Un Certain Regard" at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival and the jury was absolutely delighted. The audience applauded for 7 minutes! The cartoon has also already collected 100% freshness on Rotten Tomatoes. The Internet is sure that it will also take the Oscar! And here's what's interesting: there are no dialogues in the cartoon! At all.
And the plot of the cartoon is as follows: a cat wakes up in a post-apocalyptic world submerged in water, where there are no people left. He manages to find shelter on a boat with other animals, but getting along with them turns out to be even more difficult than overcoming his fear of water. But everyone will have to learn to live with those who are different from them and adapt to a new wonderful world.
Release - October 30.
