New South Wales police have seized a Lamborghini supercar, a Harley-Davidson motorcycle and two Rolex watches from a 39-year-old Sydney, Australia, man, accusing him of links to organised crime.
An investigation into "unexplained wealth" linked to illegal activity was launched by NSW State Crime and NSW Crime Commission detectives in May.
Their work resulted in a search warrant being executed at a unit in Parramatta on July 11, where a Lamborghini Huracan, a Harley-Davidson V-Rod and jewellery were found and seized. Police estimate the items to be worth more than $500,000.
On Friday, August 16, the Organised Crime Squad charged a 39-year-old man with "dishonestly obtaining a unique identifier". The man was said to have been receiving unemployment benefits since 2019. He was given a notice to appear at his local court on Friday, October 4, 2024.
The investigation into individuals allegedly linked to organized crime networks continues.
