A British man survived after being stung 240 times (4 photos)
The wasps apparently attacked after a local farmer disturbed their nest while harvesting crops.
Andrew was attacked on August 18 after he had returned from a bike ride and was feeding his chickens. “By the time I got to the back gate, which was probably about four seconds, I was completely covered,” the Welshman said.
He ran into the house, turned the shower on full blast and tried to clear the insects away. “The bathroom was full of wasps. "My wife Gina was also throwing buckets of water at me, trying to get the wasps off me," Andrew said.
The man then called his friend, who drove him to the hospital. "I wouldn't have gotten there by car. I was in and out of consciousness," he admitted. The doctors helped Andrew and, according to him, saved his life.
The man believes the wasps attacked him because a local farmer may have accidentally touched a wasp nest while harvesting nearby fields.
