Three people were burned when their balloon hit a power line in Indiana. The crash occurred Sunday evening near Hebron, about 50 miles south of Chicago, according to the Federal Aviation Administration. 
As eyewitnesses said, when the balloon hit a power line, there was a flash, and then the aircraft fell to the ground. 
"Electric current traveled from the power line to the basket and injured three people," the Lowell Fire Department, which responded to the scene, said in a statement.
The passengers were taken by helicopter to Chicago hospitals in serious condition. The balloon pilot, who also suffered serious burns, was taken by ambulance to Crown Point Hospital.
