How different structures protect the coast from erosion using LEGO as an example (3 photos + 1 video)
A LEGO fan recreated the sea, beach and dams from the construction kit to show what erosion looks like and how to protect yourself from it.
It’s unlikely that anyone will argue that LEGO is the coolest construction set. Even adults are interested in it, and sometimes they assemble not only sets according to the instructions, but also reproduce works of art.
One of these LEGO fans decided to clearly show, using an example with a constructor, how special structures protect the coast from erosion. First, he created a mountain of sand in an aquarium, and then attached a wave generator to it. When the engine is turned on, the device assembled from the construction set begins to move and produce waves. They run onto the beach and carry sand into the water with each wave.
Then the author of the video creates several different structures from plastic parts: dams, breakers, gabions and others. The video clearly shows how effective they are in protecting the shore. It's amazing that absolutely everything here, except for a pile of sand, is created from small LEGO bricks.
