26-year-old Bernard Polite walked into the Abbey of Jesus Church in North Braddock and aimed at the priest giving a sermon. The parishioners subdued the criminal and handed him over to the police.
The detainee claims that “God told him to do this.” He planned to kill the priest and then wait for the police to "clear his mind" in prison. Bernard Polite has been charged with attempted murder.
