Didn't want to get Russian citizenship
An 88-year-old grandfather independently left the occupied part of Ocheretino
An 88-year-old resident of the village of Ocheretino, Donetsk region, was able to escape from Russian occupation. The Russians took his passport, saying they would give him Russian citizenship. However, the man did not want to take it and decided to enter the territory controlled by Ukraine.
This was announced by the head of the OBA Vadim Filashkin, Censor.NET reports.
“I walked all night to some crossing. There was shelling, I stayed there for a couple of hours, waiting. Then I got out and left,” Filashkin said.
According to him, the Russians took my grandfather’s documents and said that he would be given Russian citizenship.
He only had his pension certificate with him.
