Snowstorm of sakura petals

23 April 2024

In Japan, the time when cherry blossom petals fall is called "sakura-fubuki", which translates to "sakura petal snowstorm".

Have you ever heard of such a natural phenomenon as “sakura fubuki”? It occurs in Japan when the sakura leaves fall and is translated as “sakura petal blizzard.”

This video shows what it looks like in strong winds. It really looks like a snowstorm, where instead of snowflakes there are delicate pink petals. Incredible beauty.
