That's exactly what the man in this video did.
The nuance is that the showdown was between two cats. The man simply switched to their language, which worked quite successfully: the cats instantly forgot about each other and, judging by the expression of their faces, thought something like: “Get out of here, he’s not well.” I wonder what he said to them in cat language that caused such a reaction?
