In Germany, a trial has begun of a 47-year-old resident of the city of Dessau, who stole goods from stores for 30 years.
47-year-old Griet W. from the German city of Dessau has stolen so many things from stores over the past 30 years that she filled her entire apartment and basement with them, writes the German BILD.
After discovering this entire warehouse with goods, the police counted 1,700 boxes, bags and bags. The total weight of the stolen goods was more than 20 tons. According to preliminary estimates, the value of all stolen items is almost half a million euros.
It is noteworthy that the lady did not even remove most of the stolen items from the packaging. Apparently, she didn't need them. In order to remove the things found at her home, the police had to call a truck, which made several trips.
The prosecutor's office counted 141 criminal offenses in Grit V.'s actions. The woman stole tools, clothes, toys, vacuum cleaners, medicines and even seeds, which she subsequently never used.
Grita V.’s first crimes became known back in 2019, when a DIY store filed a complaint about the theft of goods worth more than 1,000 euros.
The accused lives alone, she has neither a husband nor children. At the same time, Grit V. never tried to resell the stolen items and simply stored them in the apartment and in the basement. According to the preliminary version, the woman suffers from pathological obsessive-compulsive disorder. The court will consider sending the defendant to a specialized psychiatric institution.
