1. Ocean doesn’t have 11 friends, but 10 (Ryan, Tishkoff, Catton, the Malloy brothers, Dell, Tarr, Bloom, Ian, Caldwell). A literal translation of the film should sound something like Ocean's Eleven.
2. This is a remake of the 1960 film of the same name, which starred famous actors of those times, including Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin. In films from 1960 and 2001. The names of Danny Ocean's friends are never the same.
3. The 2001 film featured cameos from two actors from the 1960 cast: Henry Silva and Angie Dickinson.
4. Don Cheadle, who played Basher Tarr, is uncredited. The reason was never stated for certain from Cheadle himself, but rumors whisper that it was a matter of recognition. The actor demanded a position on the official poster along with Clooney, Damon, Garcia, Pitt and Roberts, but was refused. In the following episodes, the request was granted and Cheadle allowed himself to be noted in the credits.
5. By the way, the British-English-speaking :) Internet rated Cheadle’s emulation of a British accent very low. At first, the actor had a complex and even tried to improve his skills for “12 Friends,” but his agent recommended relaxing and leaving it as it was. Like, firstly, there is no need to feed the trolls, and secondly, Tarr simply lived in the USA for a very long time and disappeared a little into the local culture.
6. Meet director Steven Soderbergh himself.

In the envelope with the script and an invitation to Julia Roberts to take part in the film, George Clooney put a 20-dollar bill and accompanied this gesture with the text: “they say that you don’t work for less than twenty” :) This was a thick hint at the actress’s fee in Erin Bronkovich ($20 million).
9. Judging by behind-the-scenes stories, the actors regularly made fun of Julia Roberts. Note the closing credits and "And introducing Jilua Roberts as Tess". This is how only aspiring actresses are introduced in the credits.
10. During breaks between filming, Soderbergh motivated the actors to socialize and in every possible way plunge into the abyss of sin in Las Vegas. The unluckiest of the “eleven” was George Clooney, and who outweighed him on the other side of the scale – the information varies, but not much. This lucky guy was either Matt Damon or Brad Pitt.

17. The Malloy brothers' names strongly resemble the character in The Godfather (1972) VerGila "Turka" Sollozzo. The similarity becomes all the more obvious because Scott Caan's (Virgil) father James Caan played Sonny, one of Sollozzo's blood enemies, in The Father. But it is not exactly :)
