The dog, Ocean, is a cross between a wolf, an Alaskan malamute, a German shepherd and a husky. She became a social media sensation and gained as many as 400 thousand followers in a short time. Her owner, Anneka Svenska, said that pets such as wolf-dogs are not suitable for everyone.

Ocean is an unusual pet. She is a hybrid of a wolf (30%), Alaskan Malamute, German Shepherd and Husky. The owner of this beauty is British zoologist and author of the Animal Watch blog, Anneka Svenska. In addition to her amazing appearance and large size, Ocean has interesting features. For example, different colored eyes: one is yellow and the other is half golden, which makes it seem like she has a squint, but she doesn’t.

According to Anneka, she chose Ocean as a pet because she worked with wolves and wolf-dogs for many years as a zoologist.

"I'm a British TV presenter and content creator. I used to be an actress, but after working with wolves I changed my profession and started talking about animals - that's all I was interested in. I travel the world, making videos with predators, wolves and rare breeds of dogs. I live not far from London, in a small village,” said Anneka.

Ocean is a real charmer. Many are amazed by her appearance and size, so during walks with her owner, someone is sure to come up to him to chat with the fluffy beauty. According to the owner, Ocean has a wonderful character. She is very sensitive, emotional, gentle, affectionate, and loves having her tummy scratched. Because she has many German Shepherd genes, Ocean is easy to train.

According to the owner, wolf dogs are not suitable for everyone:

"Wolf dogs need special care. They require constant socialization from an early age, a lot of physical activity and walks, professional grooming every 2 weeks, and also a lot of toys - otherwise they will destroy your house. You also need a high fence near the house, as they can easily jump over it and run away. It takes strength to keep them on a leash and a lot of patience, as their mood can change," says Anneka.

“I don’t want people to take wolfdogs just on a whim. This is a big responsibility. They are not easy to care for. I have one Ocean, and it’s convenient for me to look after her, since I work at home and take her with me everywhere. Wolfdogs are very sensitive: If you give them to a shelter, they will quickly begin to fade away. With my videos, I do not “advertise” wolfhounds, but simply show their beauty and encourage them to observe from the outside,” says Anneka.
