Everyone wants to age gracefully, but without a healthy lifestyle and sports this is almost impossible. The story of 72-year-old Renee Landers proves that it's never too late to transform yourself.





Like many older women, Renee Landers faced health problems. She never thought about strength training until the injury happened.

More than ten years ago, a Texas woman underwent painful spinal fusion surgery. Trying to recover, she turned to sports, and it was then that she discovered her love for weightlifting.



Renee was so carried away that she set a goal for herself - at the age of 69, to take part in her first bikini competition.

“I have a wonderful coach who constantly pushed me to compete, but I was afraid. It took me several years to work up the courage to put on a sparkly bikini and go on stage in front of a crowd of strangers,” the bodybuilder admits.



Renee tirelessly shares videos of her grueling workouts and competition swimsuits on social media. She already has more than 53,000 subscribers.



At 72, she competed in the Arnold Classic and saw her idol Arnold Schwarzenegger backstage.



Landers wants to inspire older women to stay physically active.

She regularly posts motivational posts, addressing her fans: “You have a choice! You can see the difference in my pictures. When I was younger, I didn’t notice my strength... Even now I have doubts... So I continue to make choices !"
