The American was late for his flight, ran to the plane - he was sucked into the turbine

The 30-year-old American did not land in time and used the emergency exit to run to the plane. But something went wrong.

Kyler Efinger was late for boarding and caused a disturbance in the departure lounge. Surveillance cameras recorded everything that happened at the Salt Lake City airport in early January.

A late passenger tried to open a locked door at a Delta Air Lines gate but was unsuccessful. Then he frantically began to rush around, trying to find a way out onto the airfield, in desperation he threw his shoes out the window and tried to break the door, and then finally found a loophole.

He managed to exit the terminal, after which the video shows Efinger running across the airfield.

Ten minutes after he left the terminal, police said they found clothes and shoes on one of the runways and the man was found inside the plane's engine. He was almost sucked into the turbine. And although they tried to somehow help the victim, his injuries turned out to be incompatible with life. It is known that the man was injected with naloxone, a drug used to reverse a drug overdose.

As a result of the incident, the flight had to be delayed and 95 passengers on board the Delta Air Lines plane were unable to travel to San Francisco on time.

The accident, which occurred in early January, is currently under investigation by police. In particular, everyone is interested in the results of a toxicological examination, which will show whether Efinger was under the influence of drugs or committed a rash act for some other reason.
