Caring people saved a moose cow caught on the river ice
The animal walked onto the slippery ice, but was unable to return to the shore on its own.
While riding in an SUV, Jolene and Claude Lavoie noticed a young moose cow that found itself on the ice of a frozen river.
The kind-hearted residents of New Brunswick (Canada) realized that if they simply abandoned the animal, it would die without being able to get up. Fortunately, there was a car with two patrol policemen nearby, and it was with them that the husband and wife teamed up to help the moose cow.
They wrapped the sufferer's leg with a belt, and then pulled her to the shore. Soon the animal was able to get up.
Jolene added that the moose was surprisingly calm. It seemed that she understood that people had gathered around to help her.
