Many tourists are extreme sports enthusiasts. They are ready to drop everything and run to the beach, where the plane flies literally a few meters from people. And they are not afraid.
Maho (Dutch. Maho Beach) is a beach in the southwestern part of the island of St. Maarten on the territory of the self-governing state entity of Sint Maarten (as part of the Netherlands). It became famous due to the fact that the runway (runway) of Princess Juliana Airport is closely adjacent to it, so that landing and taking off planes fly 10-20 meters above the heads of vacationers. In this regard, the beach is especially popular among spotters. The beach and the runway are separated by two fences and a narrow two-lane road.
