Thai farmer "paints" cartoon cats in rice fields (4 photos)

Thai farmer Thanyapong Jaiham has become famous online thanks to the cute images of cats that he draws in rice fields in Chiang Rai province.





Crop drawings from a farmer from Thailand are taking social networks by storm. A resident of Chiang Rai province plants rice in such a way that large-scale paintings of cartoon cats are obtained.

Although they can only be seen from above, the images are popular. A photograph of a sleeping cartoon cat with a fish in its paws has gone viral on the Internet - it illustrates the local proverb about abundance.



To create a painting, the farmer creates sketches. Then, together with the team, he plants the seeds according to the scheme using GPS. According to him, it is very important to precisely position the seeds - over time, the rice plants will change color and a pattern will appear.

It seems that the fields of Tanyapong are a paradise for cat lovers.





So the farmer and local residents hope to attract tourists to the province and are even building observation decks.
