This is how vinyl records are made
Creating a master disc
The first step is to create a master disc, which is a copy of the original audio file. The master disc is made from high quality material such as acrylic or glass.
Creating a Matrix
At the second stage, a matrix is created from the master disk. The matrix is a negative of the master disc. It is made from a metal such as nickel or silver.
Creating a mold
At the third stage, a mold is created from the matrix. The mold is a copy of the matrix. It is made from a metal such as steel.
Typing
At the fourth stage, vinyl records are made from the mold. Vinyl is a high-quality plastic that has good acoustic properties.
Quality control
At the fifth stage, vinyl records undergo quality control. At this stage, the sound quality and appearance of the records are checked.
The video shows the typing process. Molds move on the conveyor into which molten vinyl is poured. After the vinyl has cured, the records are removed from the molds and undergo quality control.
The production of vinyl records is a complex and labor-intensive process. However, thanks to modern technology, this process has become more efficient and produces high-quality vinyl records.
