A man created a world in which he can see his deceased pet (8 photos)

Daniel Esparza works in the fast-growing field of virtual reality, and he's used his skills in the most heartwarming way—creating a world where he can visit his beloved dog.





Daniel and Sam have been best friends for 13 years



People try to provide their four-legged companions with the best treats and plenty of toys, but they sincerely love their owners and always welcome them home with genuine joy. No matter how bad your day is, seeing a happy dog warms your soul.

Labrador meant the world to Daniel. Wherever one of them went, the other followed.

“Sam was my companion for almost 13 years,” Daniel recalls. “She was a very sweet and intelligent Labrador.”

Unfortunately, dogs' lives are unfairly short, and Sam went to the rainbow





“Due to her age, she developed problems with her brain,” says the man. “We were supposed to go to the beach for the last time, but her health did not allow us to do this. One day she fell asleep and did not wake up.”

Esparza consoled himself that his beloved was no longer suffering, but they never got to that special beach. However, the devoted owner was not going to give up. He used 3D technology to scan Sam as she slept peacefully. One way or another, he had to take her to a beautiful beach.



Daniel created a virtual world where he and Sam could be together again



Now his pet sleeps among the most beautiful flowers by the sea, and he regularly visits her.

"It's like a window into the past. It's nice to know that I can remember her in my old age, when my memory may have deteriorated."

He managed to recreate the very beach where he wanted to take Sam. Now he has a place where he can regularly visit his beloved girlfriend.





Losing a pet can be just as difficult as losing a loved one. Some people don't understand how you can grieve for an animal, but these people have never experienced the unconditional love and affection that only an animal can give.

Daniel's story reminds us that we live in an amazing, fast-changing world where technology can create beautiful things.
