The blind cow does not hide her gratitude to the people who saved her (25 photos)
An elderly cow named Helen has been blind since birth. She spent her entire life on a dairy farm, but not so long ago she was saved by caring people. It turned out that this cow is a wonderful, sweet and extremely loving creature!
Meet Helen, a 19-year-old cow who was born blind. She spent her entire life on a dairy farm in the USA: she was in a stall for 19 years, gave birth to 14 calves during this time, and almost never saw green grass, sun and fresh air. Helen was recently abandoned by her previous owner because he could no longer care for her properly.
But Helen was not left alone. The special cow was rescued by Uncle Neil's Home and moved to their animal sanctuary. The organization was founded in 2019 and initially focused on rescuing dogs - but over time began rescuing all animals in need. Once in the reserve, Helen first spent a long time getting used to the new environment and people. But the volunteers did everything to make her feel safe.
They constantly talked to Helen, interacted with her, and even let her listen to music. Over time, the cow developed a strong bond with all the reserve volunteers: she immediately responds to her name, and often hugs her keepers. Although Helen's blindness prevents her from joining the cow herd, she interacts a lot with the other animals that live on the sanctuary.
This elderly beauty's story is proof that every animal deserves love and a better life. Thanks to kind people, Helen spends her old years in a wonderful place: she is surrounded by caring people, is always deliciously fed, constantly walks in the fresh air, and enjoys every day of her life. Thanks people!
