Elon Musk shocked the public when, without holding back in his expressions, he sent a number of advertisers on an “erotic walking journey.” Speaking on Wednesday at the DealBook 2023 summit in New York, he said that he would not succumb to blackmail, and he could only send those who refused to cooperate with the social network X (formerly Twitter). Musk repeated this twice, adding, “Is that clear? Hope so".

Musk explained his position and the future prospects of the companies that refused to cooperate with him (for a moment, these include IBM, Apple, Warner Bros., Sony Pictures, Paramount and Lionsgate):

Lou Paskalis, founder of consultancy AJL Advisory and former head of global media at Bank of America, said Musk's abuse of advertisers was the "final chapter" for brands that previously did business with X, an insult they won't forget.

Let us remember that in mid-November, Elon Musk supported the publication on his social network. The post accused Jews of “spreading hatred of whites.” After this demarche, the social network's largest advertisers, including IBM, Apple, Disney, Coca-Cola and Microsoft, suspended their campaigns on the platform. The New York Times estimates the move will cost Musk $75 million in revenue by the end of the year.
