In the village of Stanichnoye, Kharkov region, an intoxicated man doused a group of teenagers with gasoline in a store and wanted to set them on fire.
- Four girls and one boy were sitting at a table in a store when an unemployed resident of the area approached them. Suddenly he started pouring gasoline on them. The children managed to escape miraculously. The youngest of the girls was only 11 years old, while the eldest of them was 17, the report says.
After the incident, all children were sent to the hospital for additional examination.
The attacker was detained, but the motives for his actions remain unknown.
Police are considering the incident as an attempted murder of two or more people, including minors.
