Through cinema, we immerse ourselves in the stories and experiences of other people. Especially if the plot is based on real events. And sometimes life turns out to be much more interesting than fiction.

1. Schindler's List (1993)

Steven Spielberg's masterpiece depicts the tragedy of the Holocaust and recounts the heroic actions of Oskar Schindler to save more than a thousand Polish Jews. The frightening authenticity leaves an indelible mark on the viewer.

"Schindler's List" won seven Oscars, and Spielberg confirmed his status as a genius.

2. "Catch Me If You Can" (2002)

Another picture by Steven Spielberg. The story of Frank Abagnale Jr., played by Leonardo DiCaprio, is the exciting adventures of a young con artist. An FBI agent played by Tom Hanks closely monitors the hero's cunning deceptions. This game of cat and mouse captivated the audience with its wit and courage.

But Abagnale's success didn't end with his capture: he opened a consulting firm and shares his experience in preventing fraud. The tragicomedy based on his book was nominated for an Oscar.

3. "The Pursuit of Happyness" (2006)

The inspiring story of Chris Gardner, who went from struggling sales rep to successful broker. Will Smith's hero, despite all difficulties, fights for a better future for himself and his little son. The drama resonates with anyone who has faced challenges and dreamed of something more.

Gardner's path is not only about personal success, but also about showing a child that anything is possible if you set a goal and work hard.

4. "127 hours" (2010)

Aron Ralston's story of survival is an example of unimaginable resilience. In 2003, a climber spent almost six days in a mountain crevice after his hand became trapped by a boulder weighing more than 300 kg. James Franco's character has no choice but to cut off his hand and get free.

Ralston himself spoke about how emotional it was to watch the film with his loved ones, emphasizing that it reliably depicted his experience.

5. Hotel Rwanda

Hotel Rwanda introduces audiences to Paul Rusesabagina and his courageous actions during the Rwandan genocide. Although the film's authenticity is controversial, it brought global attention to a period marked by horrific violence and human rights abuses.

Hollywood is capable of highlighting global issues by attracting viewers with a compelling story. These films tell stories of courage, ingenuity, resilience and compassion - qualities that resonate deeply within each of us.
