A dog bit a schoolgirl who was trying to pet her

In the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug, a seven-year-old girl went for a walk with her brother and friend after school. They met a dog on the street and a schoolgirl tried to pet it. However, the animal reacted aggressively. The girl was urgently hospitalized.

In Ugra, a dog grabbed a 7-year-old girl's face and tore her lip. The incident occurred in the village of Fedorovsky. Footage from social media shows the girl approaching the dog, probably trying to pet the animal. However, the dog reacted aggressively. After this, the girl was taken to the hospital and operated on.

An investigation into the case is being carried out, the Russian Investigative Committee for Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug-Yugra reported. It is noted that, according to available data, the dog is stray and microchipped.



“During the inspection, all the circumstances of the incident will be established. To establish the severity of the harm caused to the child’s health, a forensic medical examination has been appointed. The dog that bit the child has now been caught. An assessment will be given to the actions of those responsible for organizing work in the municipality on timely catching stray animals,” the press service concluded.
