In the fifth season of the cult sitcom Friends, Chandler Bing was supposed to cheat on Monica. Matthew Perry insisted that this storyline be scrapped. The actor knew that fans would not forgive his hero for such an act.

"The scene was Monica and Chandler fighting in Vegas because Monica had dinner with Richard," Lisa explained.

She added: "In the original story, Chandler goes up to the hotel room, orders food, and I bring it. Chandler ends up cheating on Monica with my character."



After the rehearsal, the actor personally addressed the writers and asked them to abandon the idea. Obviously, the audience would not forgive adultery.

Cash admitted that she thought Parry's decision was wise.

She ended up playing a flight attendant in a scene involving Ross and Rachel. She was happy filming with Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer, as well as rehearsing with Muttju Parry.



For 10 years, Monica and Chandler were a couple that many looked up to. Perry himself once admitted that he had always been madly in love with Courtney, but they were connected only by friendship.
