A new fountain was officially opened in Vienna, on which they spent 2.2 million euros (2 photos + 1 video)

Residents of Vienna now have something to discuss. A strange fountain with 33 strange figures appeared in their city, on which 2.2 million euros were spent from the city budget - and this in a time of severe inflation and extremely high electricity prices! - complains the AutriaToday portal.

The authors of the sculptural composition were a certain art group Gelatin (again, strange guys who only allow them to be photographed in skirts) and 15 more of their assistants.

Members of the art group, apparently, can also be satisfied with their work.

20 years ago they erected the Arc de Triomphe in Salzburg with the figure of a man building a bridge and urinating in his own mouth. Then the arch had to be dismantled due to mass protests.

We were not interested in the penis, but in a man who was completely happy on his own!

,” the artists then shared their revelations with the press.



Now, after the opening of the fountain by Mayor Michael Ludwig and Federal President Alexander Van der Bellen, many Viennese are wondering “how did these guys get the order in the first place and why did this project become so expensive. After all, the artists themselves say: “It is our greatest pleasure to do everything ourselves.” .

They say there were other assistants, "a mix of artists and hackers," who worked on the project.

The idea of ​​creating a strange fountain in Vienna, on the corner of Sonnwendgasse and Gudrunstrasse, came to the group during an experiment on themselves: twelve people sat in a circle, pressed tightly against each other and poured water into the middle so that it did not go away. Then someone else could splash around in such a temporary pool.

The message that the authors wanted to send to the public: “We are united by what we have in common.”

Journalists who contacted the responsible municipal department for comment were told that: “The fountain should provide a more pleasant microclimate, improve the area and improve the quality of stay of vacationing citizens there. The work follows the tradition of artistically designed fountains that has existed in Vienna since the 16th century.”
