101-year-old woman shared the secrets of a happy life (9 photos)

Aging is a bittersweet feeling. On the one hand, we enjoying maturity and self-confidence. We don't care about opinions anymore those around us, and we can do what really brings us joy. WITH on the other hand, health problems arise more often, severe saying goodbye to loved ones and realizing that life is ending. But old age should not be scary, and Jane Burns, who recently noted his 101st birthday, shares his experience.





Meet Jane Burns



An Ohio woman recently turned 101 years old. She herself commutes to and from work - part-time to a local store needlework, where she got a job in 1997 after the death of her beloved husband. Jane loves her job: "I'll work as long as I can, or as much as they will allow me."

People first started talking about her several years ago when Maggie Husvar shared videos of her then 98-year-old colleague. Cheerful and spontaneous, Jane soon became a source of inspiration for many Internet users.

The American is sure that work helps her stay active







Celebrating 101st birthday is not only wonderful a reason to think about your life, but also to share your experience with your younger self generation. "I've always been active, I've been doing something all my life. I think it helped more than anything else," she shares. But life doesn't without any tests: Jane defeated oncology. The illness forced her adjust your diet and monitor your sugar intake.

Jane believes that daily routine plays an important role in maintaining good spirits. She adheres to the same rules in self-care as in youth: "I use a moisturizer and paint. I did this all my life, and now I'm not going to stop."

But the main secret of a long and happy life is wonderful relationships that bring joy. Woman celebrating the importance of making friends - at any age. "It's important to find friendly and kind people.



Good relationships with people are the key to a happy life. This scientifically proven: those who surround themselves with good friends have the best mental and physical health. The study also showed that people those with strong relationships are more likely to live longer.
