The Italians created the world's lowest car (3 photos + 3 videos)
Carmageddon, an Italian collective specializing in tuning cars, set himself the task of creating the lowest driving car in the world. The result is an ironic a creation that tests the limits of what a car does... well, by car.
Yes, he really drives, and there really is a driver!
To create this extremely "low" lowrider, Cocky Rudy, Matteo Marzetti and Nicola Guadagnin cut an old Fiat in half Panda and turned the top into funny but really impressive car that performs like any other car on the road. To bring this project to life, the designers installed in Fiat Panda kart frame. Under the hood of the car - more precisely, what is from left of it - added tiny wheels, tall enough to the metal did not touch the road.
So how do you manage this lowrider? Team Carmageddon added a steering wheel that looks more like a gamepad for the console. The driver has to crawl into the car and kneel or lie on side for the entire trip. That's just look through the windshield, it seems not an option - the video shows how during a test drive the driver looks at the road through his phone placed on the bottom car.
If you are interested in taking a look at the process of creating this miracle machines, check out these two videos from Carmageddon (alas, on Italian) about how they built and tested the lowrider.
