Devastating tornado hits northeast China

Videos that look like scenes from the disaster movie have appeared on local social networks.

A strong tornado has been recorded in Liaoning province in eastern China. Eyewitnesses shared the video of the disaster on social media.

The videos were filmed in the city of Fuxin, where about 2 million Chinese live. And if in an open area the spectacle of a raging tornado is impressive and terrifying at the same time, in urban areas a meeting with the elements will not lead to good.

The damage from the tornado is still only being calculated, but how can one not remember that the region is regularly exposed to such rampant elements. So, in July 2019, in a few minutes, a powerful tornado in Kaiyuan County, Tieling City District, managed to bring destruction to several districts of the city. Half of the inhabitants were left without electricity, and 200 people found themselves under the rubble of destroyed houses. Six of them then died. And this is a consequence of a 15-minute tornado, at which the wind speed reached 23 m/s!
