On Sunday, May 21, dozens of people gathered in the town Falmouth (Cornwall, England) to compete in the luring earthworms out of the ground.
The unusual championship, held in Falmouth (Cornwall, England), brought together a lot of fans of strange entertainment.
Participants were asked to demonstrate their skills in such a difficult task as luring earthworms out of the ground.
The bottom line is that each team is allocated a piece of land an area of two square meters and half an hour of time. During this time it is necessary do anything to get as many worms as possible crawl to the surface. You can't just dig the earth.
Here the participants are trying their best, playing musical instruments, creating vibration with the help of wild trampling dances and even politely coaxing the worms to appear.
This year the winning team managed to "enchant" 20 worms, and a total of 260 creatures were lured during the championship.
This is much more than during last year's event, which took place in very hot weather - then a one single worm.
