A 13-year-old girl had not once, but twice (!) Fight off a shark that attacked her on a Florida beach.
Ella Reed, a young Florida woman, was sitting in shallow water with friends on Fort Pierce Beach when a shark swimming nearby sank its teeth into her side.
“The shark itself was incredibly powerful. That's what I am felt the most because she hit me really hard in the belly,” she told Local 10 News. - She doesn't left me alone, so I had to help myself with my hand, so that in the end she bit me on the hand and finger.”
She punched the shark in the face so it wouldn't attack her again and the shark swam away for a short time, but quickly returned, and the girl again had to fight back. Ella started calling her mom for help, but the shark continued to circle around her.
Her mother was shocked to see that her daughter was "completely covered in blood from head to toe."
“[Ella] didn’t really see what was going on,” her mother said. “She was shaking, but she controlled herself.”
The girl suffered abdominal injuries, according to Local 10 News. hand, finger and knee, and had to undergo a total of 19 stitches. Despite this, Ella said she didn't feel pain at first.
“I was shocked by everything that was happening,” she said in interview with local news. — Adrenaline was through the roof, so I it didn't hurt much."
Either way, Ella refuses to let the shark screw things up. her impression of the ocean and plans to return to clear blue waters as soon as he gets better. Now she is resting at home and says he is proud of his scars because he knows that anything could end up much worse.
