Nikki Lilly from Britain was born in 2004 and grew up as an ordinary child. However, at the age of 6, her face began to change. There were veins, edema, and the girl ceased to be like herself.








Parents got scared and took their daughter to the doctor. Baby diagnosed a congenital pathology - high-flow craniofacial arteriovenous malformation (AVM). This disease is accompanied bleeding, swelling, protruding veins.



Recently, she has undergone 70 operations, and in the hospital travels so often that it's easier to calculate how many days she hasn't been. TO Unfortunately, pharmaceutical companies have no interest in such a rare disease, so healing is slow.



And despite the fact that rehabilitation and in general the general condition girls leaves much to be desired, the hardest thing she endured was not consequences of illness or operations, but the reaction of society to it. Many staring, and making friends with children is generally a problem. Yes, and be like Barbie dolls, which are sold in every store, are quite difficult to swollen side of the face.

Nikki has always considered herself an outcast, unworthy of life and to show herself to the world, but then she found strength in herself and became more active and social.
