Injured rescued on Scafell Pike, England Akita Inu dog named Rocky. The owners took him to climb, but during it the poor fellow was injured. Doggie is very needed help - he had wounds on his paws, and he could not climb down the mountain on your own. Then the owners decided to contact mountain rescuers from the local organization KMRT. I came to save Rocky a whole team of volunteers.
It was decided to lower Rocky down the mountain on a stretcher. According to rescuers, during the whole process the dog "remained calm and cold-blooded". Despite the fact that this is a fairly large dog weighing 33 kg, the team was only too happy to help this charmer. Volunteers it took four hours to get Rocky down the mountain, but in the end the dog was safely released, and then taken to the vets.
It is not known how much time Rocky spent on the road with the owners before injury. But according to rescuers, the area is quite a lot of stones - perhaps the dog cut himself, stumbling. Similar ascents are suitable for dogs already prepared for such loads - and in other cases, they can be dangerous. If the dog is not accustomed to high hills, it is better to start with small distances and short introductory walks.
