When, if not now: 99-year-old grandmother became a knife thrower's assistant
A resident of the village of Sharnford from the UK, Leicestershire, at the age of 99, was able to fulfill her dream. A woman worked in this circus 30 years ago and always dreamed of being part of the show.
When Annie Duploc was 70 years old, she put up circus posters and always dreamed of participating in a knife-throwing performance. Before her 100th birthday, Annie, through her daughter, persuaded former Zippo circus boss and owner Martin Burton to do this risky act.
Burton was very surprised at the woman's request, but could not refuse. He barely remembered that 30 years ago, Duplock worked for him as a poster poster, according to the BBC.
"I always wanted to be thrown at me with knives! Ready for the next show! When else to live, if not now?" — said the British after the speech.
