Plane crash landing on highway caught on video in Panama
Pilot Archimedes Vargas, 36, and three medical workers survived after a Cessna 172 light aircraft crashed on a highway near El Dorado, Panama City, Panama, on May 1.
A security camera caught the plane flying low over the trees before it made a hard landing and narrowly avoided passing cars.
Local media reported that the light aircraft took off from Guna Yala province, where the indigenous people live, but did not specify where the medical personnel went.
As a result of the incident, three doctors were sent to the nearest hospital.
The emergency resulted in a temporary suspension of service at Albrook Gelabert Airport in Panama City.
The Civil Aviation Authority launched an investigation into the incident.
