The driver who got into an accident managed to leave the car before the train crashed into it

A video released by the Odessa Fire and Rescue Service (Odessa, Texas, USA) shows a train crashing into an empty pickup truck that had just been involved in a fatal crash.
According to the traffic police, a Honda minivan and a Ford F250 towing a trailer had an accident and the Ford ended up on the railroad tracks.
“The person inside this pickup got out on time and was not injured,” the Odessa City Hall said in a Facebook post.
The driver of the minivan, John Edward Grube, died at the scene, while his passenger, Kay Clemens Preece, was taken to a hospital in Lubbock, where she is in critical condition.
Authorities are investigating the incident.
