Porsche 911 can be converted into an electric car (10 photos + 1 video)
The British firm Electrogenic showed a new approach to creating restomods. For the classic Porsche 911 offered a kit for rework in electric car. It is easy to install and dismantle, turning a sports car back into a gasoline one.
The kit can be installed by any qualified auto mechanic. This means that for the conversion it is not necessary to provide the car in corporate service, you can order all components with delivery.
There are two options for the power plant. electric motor 218 hp with 312 Nm of torque accelerates the car to 60 mph (97 km/h) in five seconds. The second engine with a power of 326 forces and 420 Nm improves dynamics up to 3.8 seconds.
A traction battery with a capacity of 62 kWh is mounted instead of standard fuel tank. Depending on the motor installed provides a power reserve on one charge from 290 to 322 kilometers.
The conversion increases the mass of the machine by about 100 kilograms. Regenerative braking and multiple modes appear movement. The interior remains unchanged except for the control washer modes of movement instead of the "mechanics" lever.
The dashboard is not touched at all. Just after changing to electricity purpose and mode of operation of some signs are changing. This approach allows you to quickly return the internal combustion engine with a manual if that's what the owner wants.
