10 retro photos from very strange beauty pageants of the 20th century (11 photos)
In the middle of the last century in the United States, beauty pageants were incredibly popular. So popular that it seems somehow madness. Beauty contests were organized by both meat factories and producers donuts and everything.

However there were more than enough girls who wanted to win the competition. And all because that even a small-town competition organized by neighbor farmers seemed beauties a stepping stone to the beginning of the career of a real model.
