Bus hit by landslide in Turkey
The minibus drove up to the tunnel - and stopped because of the rockfall.
Turkey is going through hard times. The country has not yet recovered from the devastating earthquakes that destroyed small towns in the southeast of the country. However, it seems that the forces of nature are testing the strength of the inhabitants of Turkey. Landslides have been recorded in mountainous areas. Because of them, the Artvin-Erzurum highway was closed to traffic.
The video captured the moment of the rockfall. The minibus was forced to stop in front of the tunnel due to large stones falling down the mountain.
The second video, filmed by road workers, shows just how powerful rockfall can be.
There are no data on casualties yet. Drivers are advised to look for detours, and media reports that specialists will arrive in Artvin to determine the likelihood of new landslides.
