Girl on TikTok talks about her father's book and netizens make it a bestseller

Around 1998, Lloyd began writing Stone Maidens, a 300-page book about an FBI forensic anthropologist investigating a serial killer who strangled women and left their bodies in the woods of southern Indiana, according to the Washington Post.

In 2009, when Lloyd finished a draft, he was turned down by about 80 literary agents. It wasn't until 2010 that one agent agreed to publish the book. Lloyd said he was relieved when the book came out in 2012, but sales fell short of expectations. For several years, only a few dozen people bought it.
