Intrauterine device
When after a while she felt nauseous and weakness, decided to play it safe and took a pregnancy test. To her Surprisingly, it turned out to be positive. Like the other six tests of different stamps.
At the clinic, the doctor confirmed the pregnancy and named the date: 7 weeks. The girl decided to keep the child and not remove the coil. In January she gave birth to a son, Rudy.
The boy was born with a spiral in his hand. This picture was collected millions of views and comments. Detractors claimed that the photo is staged, and the baby was simply put into the hand of the Navy. Others expressed surprise and support of the young mother.
It turns out that Quick is not the only one who got pregnant, using this method of contraception, although it is considered one of the most reliable (98-99%), i.e. conception can occur only in one or two women out of a hundred, and even then because of an incorrectly installed spiral. Meanwhile, Violet claims that the Navy was there and going nowhere. shifted when she went to the doctor, after positive tests.
Doctors explain that with a spiral, the risk of ectopic is much higher, than a normal pregnancy, but the case of Quick seems to be exception. You can also call it luck that the Navy did not interfere fetal development, and in fact in such cases the risk increases sharply miscarriage.
However, birth control pills are not always effective - earlier in the media it was reported about an American woman who, in three years gave birth to twins twice, protected by oral contraceptives.
As for the birth of a child with a spiral in his hand, then a similar case already described earlier - in 2020, Vietnam was also born baby with an IUD. His picture was taken by obstetrician Tran Viet Phuong, for the first time faced with such a miracle.
