Spanish self-taught sculptor Andoni Bastarrica became interested in creating sand figures in 2010, and since then has seriously honed his skill. His work looks so realistic that it seems as if the formidable alligator is about to open its mouth wide, and the horse will rise to its feet and rush away! 
"There are many reasons why I like to do sculptures of animals, but one of them is that animals - free spirits, says Andoni Bastarrica. People can watch and learn from them. Moreover, the nudity they bring with them to this peace at birth and which is kept until death, for me symbolizes freedom, an integral part of the ability to live for real. People "dress up" in order to survive, different ways."
These sculptures are sure to impress. Can only wonder how much skill and patience might be required for them creatures, given that they cannot stand for too long and are easily destroy. Despite the temporary nature, the works of an enthusiastic sculptor draw a lot of attention from people of all ages at beaches, festivals and artistic events.
