An 84-year-old man named Gregorio Romero, known as Don Goyo, has gone missing in Sonora, Mexico.
At the end of November, the man went for a walk in an unknown direction, lost his way and could not find his way back.
About 4 days later, his niece decided to inform missing police. Relatives did not immediately notice the absence of Gregorio, because he traveled frequently.
The authorities launched a search for Gregorio, but with no results, hope began to fade.
Until Palomo, his beloved two-year-old dog, led a search party to an abandoned lot 3 kilometers from the man's home.
Don Goyo was found between hills, paths and ravines with signs of severe dehydration and malnutrition.
Gregorio wandered around the neighborhood for a whole week before he was rescued and returned to the city to provide him with medical help he desperately needed.
Soon the man was transferred to a help center, and Palomo all this time was waiting for his master at the entrance to the hospital to be reunited with him.
As soon as the Sorona authorities shared the good news in his Twitter account, netizens started praising Palomo for such love and devotion to its owner.
