Fluffy security guard home squirrel protected the owner's house from a robber

Squirrels not only climb trees and collect nuts. It turns out that they are also capable of guarding houses. For example, a domestic squirrel named Joey protected the house of his owner Adam Pearl from a robber.

Five years ago, Adam found a weak newborn squirrel in his yard and began to take care of him. The man bottle-fed baby Joey until he was strong enough to feed on his own.

“When I found Joey, he was the size of a lighter and his eyes weren’t even open,” Adam recalls.

Over time, the fluffy became a full-fledged member of the Pearl family, and one day he had to fight for his family. Once, Joey was calmly waiting for the owners to return from work, when he suddenly noticed that an unfamiliar man was walking around the house. The squirrel immediately did not like the suspicious stranger who took Adam's things, so he decided to attack him.

Joey bit and scratched the robber until Adam returned and called the police. When the policeman was interrogating the suspect, he saw that his hands were covered in scratches and asked, "Is this because of the squirrel?" The suspect said "yes" and told the officer that the squirrel protected the property of the owners no worse than a seasoned guard dog.

“No one could believe that Joey protected the house from a burglar. Because it really seems like real madness, ”said Adam.

Even though Joey was a great pet, Adam had to release him back into the wild. But he is very grateful to his furry friend for his care, devotion and excellent mood, which he gave every day to all members of the Pearl family.
