Four people burned to death in an ambulance after a terrible accident near Tomsk

The 40-year-old Howo dump truck driver did not give way and collided with an ambulance on the Tomsk-Mariinsk highway. Both vehicles caught fire as a result of the collision.

There were three specialists from the regional perinatal center and a driver in the ambulance.



The deputy chief physician of the regional perinatal center, the head of the adult intensive care unit, a nurse and an ambulance driver died. No one was able to get out of the ambulance.

The 40-year-old driver who was driving the dump truck survived with various injuries.

A criminal case has been initiated under paragraph “c” of Part 6 of Art. 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation by a person driving a car of the rules of the road, which negligently caused the death of two or more persons, committed by a person who does not have the right to drive vehicles).



The governor declared December 16 in the Tomsk region a day of mourning for the dead employees of the regional perinatal center.
Near the perinatal center, a place has been organized to lay flowers and pay tribute to departed doctors.
