Now in Russia. Activists from St. Petersburg doused Banksy painting with cream
Activists of the movement against cosmetics doused cream on one of the copies of the paintings at the Find Banksy exhibition in the St. Petersburg space Sevcable Port's Workshop. Until now, various mixtures have been poured over paintings mainly in the "progressive" West, but, apparently, this is contagious.
In the footage available to Izvestia, you can see how the girls splash the cream from the cans directly onto the paintings. At the same time, they shout out calls to stop using cosmetics. According to activists, people "do not need the ideals of beauty that they are chasing."
As it became known to journalists, both girls are 20 years old.
“The picture is not under glass, it was in the open and, accordingly, we don’t know yet, we’re sorting it out. We will shoot it, perhaps it will need to be restored, it is still unknown, because we don’t know what exactly was poured over it,” said the organizer of the exhibition.
It is specified that the organizers of the exhibition decided to negotiate with the activists peacefully, without contacting the police. Girls advocating for natural beauty will pay damages.
