Aviation motifs in the guise of the concept are reminded, for example, chrome inserts in the front and the design of the front fenders. The back is formed by huge "fins" and contrasting inserts along the sides, referring to the shape of jet nozzles or motor pylons. In addition, the XM Turnpike Cruiser features exhaust pipes, brought out through the rear fenders.
The concept received an unusual roof with transparent inserts, which automatically rise when the doors are opened - this makes it easier landing in the cabin. The interior is also overflowing with solutions taken from the world aviation and space exploration are, say, turbine-like wells instruments and a concave front panel.
